A horseride in Roztocze Print

Horse-riding has become an immutable part of tourism and its importance has rised in the last few years. The nature of Roztocze and variety of the land make it a perfect place for admiring it in saddle.

If you like horses, clear air, the smell of the ground cover and picturesque views you must come here and try the attractions that the local studs offer. Horse riding lessons, carriage tours and sleigh rides are of the highest interest lately. Horse riding stables also offer practicing such spotrs disciplines as: dressage, show jumping, riding, endurance competiotions, and organize a variety of competitions.

In the summer season horse-riding summer camps are open in Lasy Janowskie, Krasnobrod, Zwierzyniec, Dabrowa Tomaszowska(„Stadnina Pod Lasem” www.stadninapodlasem.pl) and Obsza („Zagroda Roztocze” www.zagrodaroztocze.pl).

The additional attraction for the addrenaline and sports competitions lovers are organised every year in Janów Lubelski: Show Jumping Competition.


THE MAIN HORSE-RIDING TRAILS :



THE ULHAN TRAIL
It begins at the „Tarka” Małopolscy Stud in Wolka Wieprzecka, goes near the Primary School there and towards Senderki and Skaraszów. Then it runs into Wychody and Kol. Hubale where near a stone cross it turns into the North-East direction, uphill. At that point you can admire a stunning view of Zamość to the East, Biala Gora and Topornica to the South-East, hills in Grzęda Sokalska to the North, and The Roztocze National Park and Middle Roztocze to the West.
After that you should follow the track to Bukowina and go down the hill towards Mokre. After you get to Żdanówkek, cross a bridge on the Topornica River and go up Biala Gora (The White Hill). Go East through Borek Bialowski and Bialowola, where you turn towards South near the school. When you get to the hills and forest called „Stary Dziadek” , turn towards West and you will get to Kol. Za Gora.
On the forest fringe there the trail turns West and links with the cycling trail. It leads to St. Roman's mineral spring and to Lipsko polesie. It crosses the r Zamosc – Krasnobród road and throuhg the forest it gets to Wierzchowiny. Leaving the Wieprzec River springs it gets to the East edge of Skaraszow, and then back to the „Tarka”Stud.

The length of the trail is about 45 kilometres.
